Pietro Martorella

Pietro Martorella is a seasoned professional in the asset management industry, currently serving as the Global Co-Head of the Client Group Core and a member of the AXA IM Core Management Board at AXA Investment Managers since February 2004. In this role, Pietro oversees the AXA IM Core business for Southern Europe and holds the position of Country Head for both AXA IM Italy and the AXA IM Spain branch. As Country Manager and Chief Executive Officer since May 2010, Pietro is responsible for managing a local entity with a focus on various operations, client services, sales, and marketing. Prior to joining AXA, Pietro worked at BNP Paribas Asset Management SGR as a Senior Client Relationship Manager, where responsibilities included business development in Italy, Greece, Malta, and Cyprus. Pietro’s earlier experience includes serving as a Client Relationship Manager at Banque Paribas, managing a portfolio of Italian institutional clients. Educationally, Pietro holds a BA in Economics & Business Administration from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.
