Gaurang Bhargava

Gaurang Bhargava is a Principal Scientist in the Innovation Incubator at Axalta, where responsibilities include the development of both solventborne and waterborne coatings and advanced innovation. Previous roles at Axalta include Senior Scientist, focusing on the formulation, testing, and commercialization of protective coatings, as well as electrochemistry and corrosion protection. Prior experience includes serving as Manager of Electrochemical Systems at NEI Corporation and participating as a panelist in risk assessment for the Department of Defense Science and Technology and a creative seminar at Princeton University. Gaurang also held the position of Research Scientist at Headwaters Technology Innovation and completed a summer internship at ExxonMobil. Gaurang earned a Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, followed by a Master's and PhD in Chemistry and Materials Science from Princeton University.
