Billy MacDonald is currently serving as the Director of Technology Development at Axcelis Technologies, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this role, Billy was the Process Engineer Section Manager at Texas Instruments from June 2010 to July 2023, overseeing a team of approximately 10 engineers and managing key semiconductor processes, including ion implantation, diffusion, epitaxial silicon growth (SiGe), defect reduction, and non-photometrology. Billy earned a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Chemistry from the University of Glasgow between 1986 and 1990.
