Steve Sautman

Steve Sautman has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Steve worked at AXEL Plastics as the Vice President of Operations, where they oversaw the plant, safety, and technical groups. Steve'srole involved streamlining regulatory and safety processes, developing new products, and nurturing future management talent. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Operations and Corporate Safety Officer at AXEL Plastics.

Before joining AXEL Plastics, Steve worked at Solutia, Inc. and its subsidiary, Solutia, Inc., a subsidiary of Eastman Chemical Company. At Solutia, they held various roles such as Senior Manager of Worldwide Engineering and Global Engineering Manager in the Advanced Interlayers Division. In these roles, they managed global engineering staff and executed capital projects and technology development initiatives.

Steve also gained experience at Monsanto Company as a Process Engineer and at The Dow Chemical Company through their Cooperative Education Program.

Throughout their career, Steve has demonstrated expertise in operations, engineering, capital planning, project management, and process improvement.

Steve Sautman holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they obtained from 1988 to 1993. Steve also has an MBA in Operations & Manufacturing Management from Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School, which they obtained from 1994 to 1997. In addition, they have certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt equivalent), and VPP Star.
