Miguel Castillo Fernández has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Miguel began their career as a Sales Specialist at BBVA in 1999 and later moved on to work at Grupo Recoletos, where they held positions as an Online Editor and eventually became the Editor In Chief of the Online Health Area. In 2007, Miguel joined 20minutos as a Product Manager, responsible for various community and user projects. Miguel then transitioned to Schibsted Media Group, serving as the CEO of Multiciudad S.L. and managing the launch and user acquisition strategy for the social network Nettby.es. Currently, Miguel is the Chief Digital Officer at Axel Springer España, leading the company's digital team and overseeing the definition and execution of their digital strategy.

Miguel Castillo Fernández earned a Licenciado degree in Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales from Universidad de Sevilla between 1992 and 1997. Miguel later obtained another Licenciado degree in Ciencias de la Información from the same university between 1998 and 2001.
