Bogdan Rus

Bogdan Rus has been working in the software engineering industry since 2004. Bogdan started their career at Siemens as an Embedded Software Developer. In 2007, they moved to Masstech Group Inc. as a Video Codec Developer (R&D), where they designed algorithms for Motion Estimation to suit GPU architecture. In 2009, they joined Movidius as an Embedded Software Developer (Image/Video), where they developed ANSI C and ASM software for multimedia VLIW processor (multicore). In 2010, they worked at Pentalog as an Embedded Software Developer (Image/Video), responsible for solving video/image/system issues reported by clients of the platform, such as Samsung. In 2012, they moved to WeVideo as a Senior Software Developer, where they optimized video filters using ASM/SSE for cloud video editor and created smooth video timeline preview/encode on Android devices. In 2016, they worked at Photocraft as a Project Manager, where they completely developed an Android Video Editor, including design, testing and publishing. In 2018, they joined Bosch Romania as a Computer Vision Engineer. Currently, they are working at Axelera AI as a Senior Software Engineer.

Bogdan Rus obtained their Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in 2004. Prior to this, they attended Liceul Teoretic "Petru Maior" din Gherla from 1995 to 1999.
