Cédric Lenaerts

Cédric Lenaerts has extensive work experience in the banking and financial industry. Cédric has held various positions in BNP Paribas and BNP Paribas Fortis. Cédric started their career as a Junior Auditor at Ernst & Young in 2010 and then worked as a teaching assistant/researcher at the Louvain School of Management in 2009. Cédric also completed an internship at the NY Rep Office of Euroclear in 2009. Cédric joined BNP Paribas Fortis as a Trainee - International Associate in 2011 and later joined BNP Paribas as an Inspector in the Inspection Générale department. Cédric was responsible for worldwide internal audit assignments focusing on governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks. Cédric then became the Head of Assignment, leading teams of inspectors and performing strategic tasks. In 2017, Cédric returned to BNP Paribas Fortis as the Head of Chief of Staff Office for Corporate Banking. Cédric held roles such as Head of Digital, Data & Business Transformation - Corporate Banking and Head of IT & Operations - CIB BE. Currently, Cédric is the Chief Executive Officer at Axepta BNP Paribas Benelux.

Cédric Lenaerts completed their Ingénieur de Gestion degree in Management - Finance from the Louvain School of Management (UCL) between 2003 and 2009. Cédric also briefly attended the University of Minnesota in 2008, studying Business Administration and Management.
