Heitor Gomes

Heitor Gomes has extensive work experience in various roles. Heitor currently holds the position of Head of Funds Lab at Axians Portugal, where they have been since 2023. Heitor has a strong educational background in Regional Planning and Human Geography and over 25 years of experience in implementing national and European framework programmes. Heitor has managed over 200 projects and authored more than 50 publications. Heitor is recognized as a keynote speaker and has a wide national and international network of stakeholders.

Prior to their current role, Heitor worked at CEDRU, Lda as an Assistant-Director from 2001 to 2023. Heitor also held a role in Direção at Associação Portuguesa de Geógrafos from 2010 to 2016. Heitor worked as a Docente at Instituto Nacional de Administração, IP in 2008 and as an Investigador at Centro de Estudos Geográficos da Universidade de Lisboa from 1997 to 1998.

Heitor Gomes attended the University of Lisbon from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Licentiate degree in Geography and Regional Planning - specifically in Human Geography. Heitor continued their education at the same university from 1997 to 2001, completing a Master's degree in Human Geography and Regional Planning.
