Mark Lai has a diverse work experience in the technology and marketing fields. Mark started their career as a Software Engineer at Jobstreet in 2010, where they worked with .NET technologies. In 2011, they transitioned to Nuffnang as a PHP Web Developer before joining Netccentric Ltd as a Senior PHP Web Developer and later Team Lead PHP, where they were responsible for product planning, development, and managing the ChurpChurp platform.

In 2015, Mark joined 8DGE Solutions as a System Analyst and .NET Web Developer, focusing on product planning, design, and development for the ONECARD Parking Management System. Mark also developed RESTful APIs for card readers and terminals.

Since 2017, Mark has been with Axiata Digital in various roles. Mark initially served as a Backend Developer, leading product design and using a design thinking approach. Later, they became the Lead Service Design, overseeing UI and UX for micro-financial services at Boost (formerly known as Aspirasi - Axiata Digital Capital), creating user stories, wireframing, and prototyping. Additionally, Mark served as the Marketing Technology Lead, focusing on digital marketing performance, analytics, and marketing technology implementation.

Most recently, in 2022, Mark joined Boost as the Marketing Technology Lead, where they continue to leverage their expertise in marketing technology, automation, and campaign performance measurement. Throughout their career, Mark has gained experience in various tools such as Data Studio, Tableau, Adobe XD, and Sketch, as well as utilizing data connectors to platforms like Facebook Ad Manager, Google Analytics, and Mixpanel.

Mark Lai completed their Bachelor of Computer Science degree from RMIT University from 2007 to 2009, specializing in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications, including "Advertising on Facebook: Advanced" from LinkedIn in April 2022, "Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Essential Training" from LinkedIn in April 2022, and "Building Your Marketing Technology Stack" from LinkedIn in November 2021.
