Steve Chew

Steve Chew has a diverse work experience in the IT industry. Steve started their career as an IT Technician at Vast IT Sdn Bhd, where they performed advanced PC and network troubleshooting and monitored inventory equipment and assets. Steve then worked as a Programmer at Binary Fusion Sdn Bhd, where they were responsible for the development, on-site deployment, and operation support of Warehouse Management System projects. At Insight Alpha Sdn Bhd, they served as a Java Developer, delivering various web campaign content and SOAP integration. Afterwards, they joined Scope International as a Senior System Analyst, working in the internet banking domain and contributing to micro-services transformation. Currently, Steve is a Principal Software Engineer at Boost, leading a team of engineers in the digital wallet business domain.

Steve Chew attended Politeknik Seberang Perai from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained a Certificate of Information Technology in the field of Information Technology. Steve then pursued further studies at Politeknik Ungku Omar from 2009 to 2010, earning a Diploma in Information Technology.

In terms of additional certifications, Steve Chew obtained a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) designation from Scrum Alliance in July 2019. Steve also completed the LFD259: Kubernetes for Developers course and achieved the CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer certification, both offered by The Linux Foundation, in October and November 2020, respectively. Lastly, they completed the "Shaping up with Angular.js" course at Code School, although the month and year of completion are not specified.
