David Wiedmeyer

David Wiedmeyer's work experience includes serving as the Director of Spaceflight Systems Operations and Training at Axiom Space since March 2021. Prior to that, they were the Chief Training Officer (CTO) at KBR, Inc. from May 2018 to March 2021, where they were responsible for planning and conducting astronaut and flight controller training. David also held the position of Chief Training Officer (CTO) at Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies (SGT) from June 2016 to May 2018, where they performed similar duties. Before that, David worked as a Flight Controller/Instructor (ETHOS) at United Space Alliance from June 2008 to September 2014, specializing in various systems related to the International Space Station. Their early work experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at Iowa State University from August 2006 to April 2008, focusing on non-destructive evaluation and testing.

David Wiedmeyer completed their Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering at Iowa State University from 2004 to 2008. David then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Engineering Management at the University of Houston-Clear Lake from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, they obtained several certifications from NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, including Chief Training Officer in April 2017, ETHOS Specialist in October 2014, ETHOS Instructor in December 2012, and ETHOS Operator in April 2010.
