Nisha Shankar

Nisha Shankar is a highly qualified aerospace professional with extensive experience in space mission training and operations. Currently serving as the Chief Training Officer at KBR, Inc. since September 2019, Nisha executes multi-disciplinary crew training events tailored for Astronauts working on the International Space Station. Previously, Nisha held roles at Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies, including ISS SPARTAN Mission Control Operator and Instructor, where expertise in power and thermal hardware was developed. Additional experience includes serving as an ISS Program Integration Engineer and as an ISS SPARTAN Flight Controller at United Space Alliance. Nisha holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. In the early career, Nisha was involved in student leadership as the SGA Treasurer at Embry-Riddle.
