Sarah Gullett

Sarah Gullett has a diverse work experience. Sarah began their career in 2004 as a Relationship Banker at BB&T. In 2007, they became a Research Assistant at UNC Pembroke. From 2008 to 2013, they worked as a Laboratory Technician/Research Assistant at the University of Florida, where they were responsible for designing and performing scientific experiments, handling and culturing Streptococcus mutans, rodent handling for saliva collection, genetics/molecular biology work, PCR, reverse transcription, ligation/transformation, DNA cloning, agarose gels, northern blots, RNA gels, and primer design, and interpreting data and formatting for presentation. During this time, they also held a position as a Scientific Recruiter at Kelly Scientific Resources, where they used their technical knowledge of scientific fields to help connect other scientists with positions in their field of expertise. In 2013, they moved to Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as a Research Associate II, where they were responsible for independent research and experimentation, assay development and qualification, bioanalytical development and large molecule discovery, and program support across multiple platforms. From 2017 to 2021, they worked as a Quality Control Supervisor at ArunA Biomedical, Inc., where their primary responsibilities included supervision of Quality Control activities and coordination of sample testing, collaboration between multiple teams, and running QC assays, including for GxP support. Sarah also had additional responsibilities including assay development and optimization including Western Blot, ELISA, enzymatic activity assays, and Flow Cytometry, purification and characterization of exosomes, and large-scale production and maintenance of mammalian stem cell cultures. In 2021, they began working as a Technical Support Specialist at Axion BioSystems.

Sarah Gullett attended the University of North Carolina at Pembroke from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a B.S in Chemistry and Biology.
