Liana Steir

Liana Steir has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Liana most recently worked at Axios as the Director of DEI and Employee Experience, a role they started in July 2023. Prior to that, they held positions at Rent The Runway, including Retail Training Lead, where they focused on building training resources and leading cultural initiatives. Liana also served as the Store Experience Manager, where they organized in-store events and partnerships, analyzed business metrics, and developed associates. Additionally, they worked as an Associate Sales Manager and Keyholder at Rent The Runway, where they focused on sales and providing a memorable customer experience. Before their time at Rent The Runway, they worked at First Book as a Community Development Coordinator and Data Coordinator. Liana also interned at the Human Rights Campaign and held a fellowship position at FAIR Girls. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Stylist and Keyholder at Betsey Johnson and as the Public Relations Chairman at Sigma Kappa Sorority.

Liana Steir obtained a B.A. degree in Political Science and a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they studied from 2008 to 2010. In 2021, they acquired a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of South Florida. Prior to their time at UMass Amherst, Liana attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 2006 to 2008, though the degree obtained is unspecified. Liana completed their high school education at Westborough High School from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, Liana holds various certifications from LinkedIn and Coursera, covering topics such as allyship, diversity, inclusion, conflict resolution, unconscious bias, time management, and Microsoft Excel.
