Sumit Bali

Sumit Bali began their career in the banking and finance industry in 2005 as the Chief Executive Officer of Kotak Mahindra Prime Limited. In 2014, they joined Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited as the Senior Executive Vice President. In 2018, they left Kotak Mahindra Bank to become the CEO and Executive Director of IIFL Finance. Sumit is currently the Group Executive and Head of Retail Lending at Axis Bank.

Sumit Bali attended the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad for their graduation, where they studied maths. Sumit then attended St.Stephens College for their high school education.

Sumit Bali reports to Amitabh Chaudhry, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer. They work with Neeraj Gambhir - Group Executive, Treasury, Markets & Wholesale Banking Products, Ganesh Sankaran - Group Executive - Wholesale Banking Coverage Group, and Puneet Sharma - Chief Financial Officer.
