Angela Nelson has extensive experience in regulatory affairs, with a focus on pharmaceutical product development and compliance. Angela is currently serving as the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at axogen. Prior to that, they held positions at PPD, where they served as the Executive Director of Regulatory Affairs and later as the Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs. Angela also worked at US WorldMeds, where they focused on niche and unmet need product development, specifically in regulatory affairs and CMC. Before that, Angela worked as a Principal Consultant for International Regulatory Affairs at ALKU Quality and as a Senior Consultant for Scientific and Regulatory Consulting at Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions. Angela began their career as a Faculty member and Director of Learning Resources at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. Angela holds an MBA degree and the RAC(GS) certification.
Angela Nelson obtained their Doctorate in Computational Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Missouri-Kansas City from 2000 to 2005. Angela then pursued an M.B.A. specializing in Project Management at the University of Phoenix from 2005 to 2006. Prior to their doctorate, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Missouri-Kansas City from 1995 to 1999. Angela also completed a Bachelor's degree in Psychology - Experimental and Family Study at the same university from 1994 to 1999. In addition to their educational background, Angela Nelson has obtained various certifications in regulatory affairs from the Regulatory Affairs Certification Program and the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society.
