Luis Velasco

Luis Velasco is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in revenue recognition and accounting. Currently serving as Senior Director of Revenue Recognition at Axon since October 2024, Luis has previously held key positions at Itron, Inc. from May 2018 to October 2024, including Senior Controller and Senior Manager in Revenue Recognition. Prior to that, Luis spent nearly eight years at Cisco Systems, progressing from Revenue Accounting Operations Analyst to Theater Senior Manager. Earlier career highlights include a role as Senior Revenue Analyst at Tekelec and a Senior Audit Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Luis holds a Master of Accounting degree from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Miami.
