Candace Cunningham has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Candace started their career in 2002 as the Jazz Festival Co-Founder/Coordinator at The University of Akron, where they conceptualized and built a brand new arts event. In this role, they worked with high-profile guest artists and managed all aspects of the event. From 2003 to 2005, Candace worked as a Marketing Graduate Assistant at EJ Thomas Hall.

In 2005, they joined the Cleveland Orchestra as part of the Public Relations team, where they executed various orchestra-sponsored events and handled logistics for the 2005 European Tour. At the same time, they joined ASM International as the Manager of Chapter Relations, responsible for program management and relationship building with ASM's global chapter network.
