Shahwar Maiwandi

Shahwar Maiwandi has a diverse work experience starting with their current position as the Director of Product Engineering at Axxiome, a fintech company focused on building Banking as a Software product. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Global Software Development at Meed Banking Club from 2017 to 2020 and as the Head of Global Services at GlobeOne from 2015 to 2017. Before that, they worked at Countrywide Capital Markets as the VP of Fixed Income Research, where they led the development of a credit derivatives pricing engine. Early in their career, they worked at Countrywide/GHL/Woolwich UK/Barclays Plc as a Senior Engineer - Architect, where they built a multi-tenanted loan originations and servicing platform. Throughout their career, Shahwar Maiwandi implemented various improvements and innovations to enhance efficiency and user experience in their roles.

Shahwar Maiwandi obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Quantitative Finance/Computational Finance from the National University of Singapore from the years 2009 to 2011. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Distributed Computing from California State University, Northridge. Furthermore, Shahwar Maiwandi has a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a specialization in M.I.S and a minor in Economics, also from California State University, Northridge. They have also achieved several certifications, including the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2023, the Certified Kubernetes Admin - CKA from The Linux Foundation in March 2022, and another AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certificate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2023.
