Matthew McCaffrey

Matthew McCaffrey is a seasoned professional in the renewable energy sector with extensive experience in project development and management. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Development at Aypa Power, Matthew focuses on energy storage and renewable hybrid projects. Previously, as the Director of Development at Birch Infrastructure, Matthew was instrumental in developing utility infrastructure for hyperscale data centers. Matthew's background also includes leadership roles at Cypress Creek Renewables, sPower, and Silverado Power, where responsibilities ranged from project development and management to environmental permitting and contract management. Matthew's early career included positions as an intern at the California Coastal Commission and Congressman Sam Farr's Office. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Sciences in Environmental Studies and Ecology and Evolution from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and has furthered education at The University of Hong Kong.
