Since joining Ayres in 1995, Eric Sorensen steadily advanced within the company as a design engineer and then as a transportation supervisor, and ultimately as vice president of Midwest transportation operations. He oversees highway, structural, and traffic engineering and construction services in Wisconsin.
He has extensive experience managing and designing transportation-related projects for the State of Wisconsin and local governments. His experience includes project coordination with government and local agencies and served as a resident engineer for construction observation projects.
His experience with the technical and social elements of challenging projects enables me to effectively coordinate and successfully complete large and small projects on time and within budget. He is proactive in identifying and addressing project challenges to keep projects on schedule, and committed to keeping major stakeholders informed throughout the design process. He has experience facilitating ad hoc, citizens advisory, and property owner meetings. He is also effective in gathering and incorporating input from many sources to enhance the overall design and public involvement efforts.
