Marc Carrel

Marc Carrel is a seasoned leader in public health and policy advocacy, currently serving as President & CEO of the Emphysema Foundation of America and Breathe Southern California. With a strong background in government relations, Marc has held key positions including Commissioner for the County of Los Angeles Building Board of Appeals and a member of the Community Prevention and Population Health Task Force. Prior experience includes serving as Legislative and Public Affairs Supervisor at the South Coast Air Quality Management District and as Deputy Chief of Staff for Congresswoman Jane Harman. Educational credentials include a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and a B.A. cum laude in History and Communications from the University of Michigan.
