Farhad Foroughi

Farhad Foroughi is an experienced information security professional with a diverse background in various companies and roles. Farhad started their career at Ansari GmbH in 2001 as a Network and Security Technical Manager, where they managed network teams and implemented various security measures. In 2003, they joined TechniTrust Ltd as an Information Security Consultant and Project Manager, where they provided technical management and consulting services for information security projects. Farhad co-founded Yasa Data Processing and Communication Co. in 2008, where they served as the Co-Founder and CTO, managing large-scale ISMS projects in different industries. Farhad also worked at Behi as an Information Technology and Security Manager, Super Enterprise Associates Ltd. as an Information Security Manager, and TechniTrend Ltd as a Senior Information Security Consultant. Currently, they serve as the Global Head of Information Security at AZA. Throughout their career, Farhad has been involved in various tasks such as project planning, risk management, network security architecture, incident response, and ISO27001 implementation.

Farhad Foroughi has a diverse education history. Farhad obtained a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering-Telecommunication from Islamic Azad University, Najafabad Branch between 1997 and 2002. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Information Technology Management from the University of Sunderland from 2006 to 2008.

Farhad has also attained several certifications throughout their career. In 2003, they obtained certifications such as CCNA from Cisco, MCSA and MCSA-Security from Microsoft, and Security+ from CompTIA. In 2005, they acquired ISO/IEC 17799:2002 Lead Auditor certification from DNV. In 2007, Farhad achieved the CISSP certification from ISC2. In 2008, they completed the IBM IT Architecture program offered by IBM and the University of Sunderland. Farhad continued to enhance their skills by obtaining certifications like ISO/IEC 27001 ISMS Implementation from the British Standard Institute in 2008 and ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor from the same institute in 2011. Additionally, they earned certifications in IT projects management from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in 2004 and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) from ISACA in 2011. Farhad also obtained certifications like ISO9000:2000 Internal Auditor from IMQ in 2003 and CDCD – Data Center Design from Edexel/Btech in 2010.

In terms of ongoing education, Farhad enrolled in the PhD program in Informatics at Universität Rostock, although the start and end years of their studies are not provided. Farhad also attended the Entrepreneurial Edge Programme at the London Business School in 2019.
