Nevil Patel

Nevil Patel is an Automation Scientist at Azenta Life Sciences, specializing in lab digitalization and automated process development since May 2023. Previously, Nevil worked as a Laboratory Automation Engineer at Tempus Labs, Inc., where responsibilities included Tecan Fluent scripting and backend Python application development, alongside web development using TypeScript, HTML, and JavaScript. Earlier roles included a Laboratory Automation Intern at Rithum Automation, LLC, focused on translating bench workflows to automated systems, and developing software for sensor programs. As a Laboratory Automation Intern at Microlab Instruments Pvt. Ltd., Nevil developed an automated machine controlled by embedded systems. Educational background includes a Master’s degree in Robotics from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering from Nirma University. Nevil also served as Membership Chair for the International Society of Automation, demonstrating a commitment to active participation in professional committees.
