Salvatore Maurizio Maggiore

Salvatore Maurizio Maggiore is an accomplished professional in the field of anesthesiology and critical care medicine. Currently serving as Chair of the Congress Committee for the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine since October 2023, Maggiore has also held the position of Direttore UOC Anestesia e Rianimazione at Azienda sanitaria locale Lanciano Vasto Chieti since November 2020. In academia, Maggiore is a Full Professor at "Gabriele d'Annunzio" University of Chieti-Pescara and has previously served as Assistant Professor at Catholic University of Rome. A leader in the field, Maggiore is President of the Italian College of Professors in Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine and a member of the Executive Committee of SIAARTI, where Salvatore Maurizio represents the Abruzzo-Molise region and chairs the Section on Acute Respiratory Failure and Respiratory Support. Maggiore's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Respiratory Physiology from University of Paris Est and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Università degli Studi di Bari, where a specialty in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care was also completed.
