Dr. Michael Pietsch

Dr. Michael Pietsch serves as the Senior Vice President of the Center of Excellence Pharmaceuticals at B. Braun Gruppe, leading a workforce of 6,500 individuals and reporting directly to the board member responsible for Healthcare/Operations. Since October 2014, Dr. Pietsch has focused on developing and maintaining a competitive product portfolio of innovative drug products while ensuring high-quality manufacturing processes. Prior to this role, Dr. Pietsch held several key positions at Boehringer Ingelheim from March 1998 to September 2014, including Corporate Quality Compliance Officer and Executive Director of Manufacturing Science and Technology, overseeing quality assurance and compliance, manufacturing processes, and product lifecycle management. Before joining Boehringer Ingelheim, Dr. Pietsch gained valuable experience as a Quality Manager at Czewo Full Filling Service and held research positions at the University of Heidelberg and the University of Leipzig, where Dr. Pietsch earned a doctoral degree in Organic Chemistry.
