Carolina Maroño

Carolina Maroño has extensive work experience in information technology and digital leadership roles. Currently, they serve as the VP of Information Technology at B. Fernandez & Hnos Inc., where they are responsible for shaping and executing the organization's technology strategy. Prior to this, they worked as an Executive Digital and Technology Leader. From 2018 to 2022, they held the position of Director of Commercial Digital & Tech Spain, Portugal, and Israel at GSK, where they were accountable for driving the cluster's growth through digital and technological capabilities. Carolina also served as a Tech Manager and IT Project Manager at GSK, where they collaborated with various teams to implement digital business solutions. Before joining GSK, they worked as a System Analyst at Mega Soft Computación C. A. and as an Information Technology Analyst at Mercantil Banco. Overall, Carolina Maroño has a strong background in IT leadership positions with a focus on digital transformation and business growth.

Carolina Maroño obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from Universidad Metropolitana (VE). Carolina also completed the Executive Education program in Digital Transformation: Leading People, Data & Technology at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications including Digital Technologies Case Studies, EF SET English Certificate (C2 Proficient), Professional Scrum Master, Balancing Innovation and Risk, and has also graduated from GSK's Accelerate Difference Program and ELD2 Program.
