Geotechnical Engineering Manager at Babbage

Jordan has worked in a range of geological environments for sectors including infrastructure, mining, oil and gas, commercial, industrial and residential, throughout New Zealand and Australia. His goal is manage risk for the client in relation to ground work, and to see a project completed efficiently and safely.

Jordan is an experienced project manager who has worked on large-scale and small projects from initiation to completion, including pre-development due diligence assessments, feasibility studies, emergency response and remedial works, regional and local authority consents, design, tendering, contract administration and construction monitoring.

A key strength is to cut through the jargon and complex analysis to provide the client with clarity on the issues, risks and opportunities of a project. He says every site is different and presents different challenges, and his role is to help the client anticipate and manage the risks.

As a team leader he is focused on growing his team and their skills, and forming a cohesive, effective unit. Jordan gained his bachelor’s degree from the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane in 2009 and relocated to Wellington with his trans-Tasman company in 2013. He moved to Auckland in 2014 and gained his master’s degree from the University of New South Wales in 2015. Jordan joined Babbage in 2018.
