Jiacheng Yao

Jiacheng Yao has extensive work experience in the field of data science. Jiacheng is currently working as a Principal Data Scientist at Babbel, where they are responsible for various tasks including optimizing financial forecast models, spam lead detection, and implementing Customer Lifetime Value models. Prior to their current role, Jiacheng worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Babbel, where they accelerated and optimized the company's financial forecast model and implemented spam lead detection and Customer Lifetime Value models.

Before joining Babbel, Jiacheng worked as a Guest Researcher and Data Scientist at PIK - Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. In this role, they were involved in modeling the global economic network and developing a supply chain risk management system.

Jiacheng also has experience as a Data Scientist at Schwäbisch Media Digital GmbH & Co. KG, where they built customer churn prediction models and designed time series anomaly detection algorithms for advertisement customers. Jiacheng has also worked as a Data Scientist at Rocket Internet SE, where they developed keyword bidding updating services and built predictive tools for customer forecasting.

Additionally, Jiacheng has worked as a Research Assistant at EIFER - European Institute for Energy Research, where they contributed to the development of a 3D model for Karlsruhe and evaluated its accuracy. Jiacheng also developed a 2D web interface for Karlsruhe.

During their undergraduate studies, Jiacheng worked as a Student Assistant at the Sino-French Lab in Computer Science, Automation, and Applied Mathematics, and interned at FOUNDER PCB.

Jiacheng Yao completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence from Peking University in 2013. Jiacheng then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and completed it in 2016.
