Matías Fraga

Matías Fraga has a diverse range of work experience. Matías is currently the Head of Engineering at Babbel, where they lead a cluster of 4 teams and is responsible for the Engineering department at the Growth Cluster. Prior to this role, they served as an Engineering Manager at Babbel, leading a team of 7 mobile engineers and taking over a second engineering team for 5 months.

Before joining Babbel, Matías was a Professor at the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires, where they designed and presented a project focused on mobile applications for software engineering students. Matías also worked as an Engineering Lead and Senior Android Software Engineer at Mercado Libre, contributing to the development of marketplace solutions and improving the MercadoPago mobile home.

In addition, Matías served as the Head of Technology at Yntegra, where they built a team and launched web applications for drivers and an affiliate marketing program. Matías also contributed to the PMD open-source project, aiming to support static code analysis over new languages.

Earlier in their career, Matías worked as a Teacher Assistant at the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in team management, technical strategy, subscription models, diverse cultures, and mobile and backend development.

Matías Fraga completed a Master of Science in Computer Software Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires, from the years 2012 to 2019.
