Ian Strathmore

Ian Strathmore is an experienced procurement and category management professional with a strong background in various industries. Currently serving as the Global Category Lead for HR, Wellbeing & Professional Services at Babcock International Group since October 2020, Ian develops category strategies and conducts sourcing activities for Group-wide requirements. Previously, Ian held the position of Category Manager at The Co-op, managing a diverse array of categories including HR and consultancy. At the Department of Work and Pensions, Ian managed a new sourcing team and led strategic initiatives across 800 sites. Ian’s earlier roles at AstraZeneca encompassed responsibilities as Global Category Manager for Travel and R&D Sourcing Manager, where significant supplier governance and sourcing solutions were implemented. Ian's career began at Tarmac, where a focus on commodity management and account development was established. Ian holds a BA Hons in Business Studies from Staffordshire University.
