Trudy Askew Mbe

Trudy Askew MBE is the Head of Safety Risk & Assurance at Babcock International Group, a position held since September 2020, and previously served as the Aviation Sector Risk Manager. Trudy's extensive experience includes a tenure at the Royal Air Force from August 2012 to August 2020, where roles included Senior Engineer & Contract Oversight in Air Mobility Force HQ and Senior Engineering Officer for the C130 Hercules. Trudy has also managed a £1.35M bioprocessing project with the Defence and Security Accelerator and served as Military Assistant to the Director of the Military Aviation Authority. With a robust educational background in Aeronautical Engineering (Loughborough University) and various management and safety qualifications, Trudy has a proven track record in safety governance, engineering oversight, and leadership training within the defense sector.
