Alvin Prusoff has extensive experience in leadership roles within youth sports organizations, currently serving as President of Fairfield Jr Babe Ruth since August 2000 and as Commissioner of District 2 for CT Babe Ruth since January 2019. Additionally, Alvin has held the position of District Commissioner for Babe Ruth League Inc. since January 2018 and has been a Trustee for the William H. Prusoff Foundation since October 2001. Alvin Prusoff earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from the University of Connecticut, where studies were completed between 1970 and 1974.

Founded in 1951, Babe Ruth League serves over 1 million players from ages 4-18 in Babe Ruth Baseball, Cal Ripken Baseball, Babe Ruth Softball, & Buddy Ball. The Babe Ruth League, Inc. programs above all, are of, by and for youth. Its mission is to make better citizens through proper supervision of regulation competitive baseball and softball in addition to promoting mental and physical development.
