Elizabeth Swanson

Professor, Literature And Human Rights; Director Women's Entrepreneurial Development Lab at Babson College

Elizabeth Swanson is a distinguished professor and activist specializing in literature and human rights, currently serving at Babson College since September 2002 and holding the position of Director of the Women's Entrepreneurial Development Lab. As a founding partner of Jane's Way, LLC since May 2020, Elizabeth collaborates with Jane C. Edmonds and Donna Ryan Moore to address social and economic disparities affecting historically oppressed groups. Elizabeth's extensive background includes serving as the Mandell Family Foundation Senior Term Chair in Literature and Human Rights at TASSC from 2003 to 2016, and as Board Chair for Made By Survivors from 2008 to 2013. Elizabeth holds a Ph.D. in Literature and has dedicated a career to uncovering and amplifying suppressed narratives, particularly in relation to African American culture and history.
