Andrew Hoover III has been a leader in the international financial community through roles such as former Co-Head of Global Asset Management, and Head of Global Client Relations in the Office of the President and Chief Operating Officer of Merrill Lynch & Co. Later, as an entrepreneur, Andrew served as Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of a private, institutional hedge fund partnership. Mr. Hoover began his career in Finance in 1989 at Credit Suisse First Boston in the Investment Banking and Mergers & Acquisitions Divisions in New York and Tokyo, Japan. Today, Mr. Hoover is active as an independent strategic advisor, serves on the Board of Directors of Princeton University-affiliated BACCH Labs, and continues his decades-long commitment to supporting diverse philanthropic organizations.
Mr. Hoover has personally completed more than 100 institutional transactions with an average transaction size well in excess of $2 billion, and he has acted as a financial advisor on innumerable strategic and financial transactions across virtually every asset class. He graduated with honors and an additional certificate of scholarship from Princeton University, received his Masters of Business Administration in Finance from the Wharton School, and Masters in International Studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Hoover’s primary residence is in New York City where he lives with his teenage son and wife, Elinor Hoover, who is Chairman of the Global Consumer & Retail Group in Investment Banking overseeing Citi’s consumer technology effort, a member of the Board of Directors of Lincoln Center, and Chairman of the Board of The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Mr. Hoover and his entire families are ardent music lovers and avid supporters of the arts and other cultural organizations with deep passion and enduring commitment.
