Benoît Sauvère

Benoît Sauvère has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Benoît started their career as a self-employed software developer in 2011, working on various projects. In 2011, they co-founded Teevity, a cloud spending analytics platform powered by NetflixOSS Ice. Benoît played a key role in the company until 2018.

In 2018, Benoît joined Airbus as an AWS Cloud Platform Builder and Site Reliability Engineer. Benoît was responsible for managing the design and development of solutions for the Airbus Public Cloud Platform, which encompassed over 600 AWS accounts and thousands of users. Benoît excelled in this role until 2021, when they were promoted to the position of Cloud/DevOps Technical Leader. In this capacity, Benoît led a team of over 10 individuals and oversaw the technical management of a 24/7 worldwide data hub and associated frontends with 3000+ daily users. Benoît'sresponsibilities included providing technical guidance and support to the SRE team, validating technical decisions and architectures, translating business needs into technical specifications, troubleshooting production issues, and participating in development. Benoît leveraged a variety of technologies, including AWS full serverless architecture, Aurora-MySQL cluster, near-realtime ETL pipelines, infrastructure as code with AWS CDK, monitoring and alerting with AWS CloudWatch and ServiceLens, and Flask + GraphQL API.

Following their tenure at Airbus, Benoît joined Platform.sh as a Cloud Operations Engineer in February 2022. Benoît contributed to the optimization and maintenance of the cloud infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations and efficient delivery of services. Currently, they work at Back Market as an Infrastructure Engineer, starting in May 2022.

Benoît Sauvère holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III, which they obtained from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Licence 3 in Computer Science from the same university, from 2013 to 2014.

Before pursuing higher education, Benoît Sauvère earned an IT University Degree (DUT in France) in Computer Science from IUT Blagnac, Université Toulouse II Le Mirail, from 2011 to 2013.

In terms of secondary education, they obtained an A-Level with Honours in Engineering Sciences from Lycée Déodat de Séverac in 2011. Before that, they also achieved an A-Level with Honours in Engineering Sciences from Lycée Pierre-Paul Riquet from 2008 to 2010.

Benoît Sauvère also holds an additional certification as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA) from Amazon Web Services (AWS), which they obtained in September 2019.
