Katy Pfeifer has a diverse work experience in product management and consulting roles. Katy started their career as a Founder at Iruya in 2015 and later joined Cogo as a Product Management Consultant. At Cogo, they worked with the Conscious Consumers sustainability and product teams to develop key elements for the second version of their product.
In 2017, Katy co-founded Town Square, a platform for discovering local events. Katy served as the Director and focused on business analysis, strategy development, and product development. In 2019, they transitioned to MarginFuel as a Product Manager, eventually becoming the European Business Manager. Katy handled product and customer management responsibilities and led the European business operations.
Katy then joined Product People as a Senior Product Management Consultant in 2022. Katy provided interim product management services and contributed to the company's community of product managers through events and knowledge-sharing. Katy also worked with various organizations in different roles, such as Product Coach at Berlin Innovation Agency (BIA), Product Management Consultant at FLOCERT, and Senior Product Manager at Hrmony.
Currently, Katy is a staff product manager at Back Market, a global marketplace for refurbished technology. Katy focuses on improving the aftersales experience for sellers and customers in the customer care area. Throughout their career, Katy has shown expertise in product discovery, service design, and product strategy.
Katy Pfeifer has a diverse educational background. Katy attended emlyon business school from 2015 to 2016, where they earned a Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. In 2017, they studied at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa, where they completed the Te Ara Reo Maori program, covering Levels 1-4 of Maori language. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2011, Katy attended Victoria University of Wellington, where they pursued a BA/BCA degree in Modern Languages, International Relations, and International Business. Additionally, in 2009, they briefly attended WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management, earning a BCA in Commerce.
