Catherine du Plooy

Catherine Du Plooy is the Director/Chief Growth Officer at BackaBuddy, an online fundraising platform. Catherine is also a Steering Committee Member at Women in Philanthropy South Africa. Catherine has experience as a Financial Advisor at attooh! Group of Companies and as a Co-Founder and Marketing Director at A to Z Fundraising. In the past, Catherine has held positions in marketing and fundraising roles at various companies such as Afrika Tikkun, St Joseph's Care and Support Trust, and MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company. Catherine has a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and a BCom Honours in Marketing Management, Business Management, and Communications from the University of Pretoria. Catherine also attended Harvard Kennedy School in 2019.
