Brent Nowak

Brent Nowak has extensive work experience in the field of network engineering. Brent currently serves as a Technical Lead Network Engineer at Backblaze since February 2024, after being promoted from the role of Senior Network Engineer which they held from January 2022 to February 2024. Prior to that, Brent worked as a Network Engineer at Backblaze from April 2021 to January 2022. Before joining Backblaze, they were a Network Engineer at McKay Brothers from January 2020 to March 2021. Additionally, they held Network Engineer positions at Jump Trading LLC from May 2019 to October 2019, Cutler Group, LP from November 2015 to April 2019, WideOrbit from January 2015 to October 2015, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from October 2013 to January 2015. Brent began their career as an IT Consultant at Apogee Strategies LLC from September 2005 to June 2009.

Brent Nowak attended DePaul University from 2004 to 2007, where they studied Network Technologies. Prior to that, they attended Iowa State University from 2002 to 2004, majoring in Computer Engineering and Spanish Language. In addition to their education, they obtained certifications in CCNP from Cisco in 2015 and CCNA from Cisco in 2013.
