Timothy Marzullo

Chief Scientific Officer, Evangelist, Prototyper, Bug Cleanup at Backyard Brains

Timothy Marzullo began their career in 2008 as a Research Engineer at NeuroNexus Technologies, where they designed and prototyped expensive neuroelectrodes on optogenetics, drug delivery, and ECoGs, as well as performing sales and tech support. In 2009, they became a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Kauffman Foundation, which enabled him to focus on their venture Backyard Brains, before it began generating revenue from sales. Timothy also held the role of Chief Scientific Officer, Evangelist, Prototyper, and Bug Cleanup at Backyard Brains.

Timothy Marzullo received their B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin between 1997 and 2001. Timothy then went on to earn their Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan between 2001 and 2008.
