David Rieck

Senior Electronics Engineer at Badger Meter

David Rieck has a diverse range of work experience in the field of electronics engineering.

David started their career as a Maintenance/Utility worker at Mosinee Converted Products in 1982, where they gained experience in general factory work, maintenance, utility, and production line tasks.

In 1986, they joined Hi Techniques Inc. as a Hardware/Software Engineer, where they designed and developed various microprocessor-based systems, including an 80386SX based I/O board and waveform generator.

David then worked at Criticare Systems Inc. as a Senior Electronics Engineer, contributing to the design of analog and digital hardware for patient vital signs monitors. David was responsible for improving performance and addressing Electrosurgery immunity for several technologies.

In 2012, David joined Eaton's Cooper Power Systems as a Design Engineer - Electronics, where they provided support for new product development and product support for switchgear controls used in power distribution systems.

David went on to work at B/E Aerospace as a Senior Electronics Engineer, responsible for new product development for exterior aircraft lighting systems and providing engineering support for existing programs. David also participated in compliance testing for DO-160 Aerospace standards and addressed field product issues through the product reliability review board.

David then worked at UEMSI/HTV as an Electrical Engineering Consultant, where they designed hardware and software solutions for controlling Pan/Tilt/Zoom cameras using an Xbox gaming controller. David also updated PCB designs and performed PCB layout for camera and tractor current/voltage metering PCBs used in pipeline inspection equipment.

Currently, David serves as a Senior Electronics Engineer at Badger Meter, where they apply their expertise to various projects.

David Rieck completed their undergraduate education from 1981 to 1985 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. David obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on the Computer Engineering option.
