Justin Chow

Justin Chow is currently a Project Manager at BadVR. Prior to that, they were a Tech and Games Instructor at STAR Education from September 2019 to November 2020. Before that, they were a Hybrid Systems Engineer at Toyota USA from August 2015 to April 2019.

Justin has always had a passion for teaching and sharing their knowledge. Justin co-taught virtual coding classes to 10 students on game design, 2D event interaction, block coding, scripting, website publishing, and future of technology. Justin also managed 4 classes of at least 20 students per class across 5+ schools every week across the LAUSD. In addition, they spearheaded the creation of Elementary Activism 101 curriculum to teach fundamentals of civics and youth empowerment.

At Toyota USA, Justin was responsible for drivability calibration for two motor hybrid system of Toyota Hybrid System (THS). Justin implemented PDCA tracking system for over 900 software parameters, leading to 60%+ reduction in engineering time. Justin also collaborated with over 20 R&D groups during evaluation reviews and planned and managed test trips for public road vehicle confirmation. Furthermore, they created technical reports from MATALB data analysis and presented to overseas management on bi-weekly basis. Justin also invented hybrid system improvements, producing 3 US patent grants, 1 EU grant, and 8 pending. Lastly, they created and taught curriculum of over 200 Japanese technical terms to US colleagues in weekly department meetings.

Justin's experience and skills make him an excellent Project Manager at BadVR. Justin's passion for teaching and sharing knowledge helps him to develop innovative VR content. In addition, their experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously ensures that all BadVR projects are well-organized and on schedule.

Justin Chow reports to Suzanne Borders, Co-Founder & CEO. They work with David Lane - Marketing & Operations Manager, Stefanie Feldman - Product Manager, and Rita Meouchy - CFO.
