Carrie Graham

Carrie Graham has extensive work experience in the scientific and medical field. Carrie began their career at Rochester General Hospital in 1998 as a Medical Technologist, where they performed patient testing using various methods and also taught medical technology students. From 2000 to 2002, they worked at the University of Rochester Medical Center as a Medical Technologist, providing STAT testing, managing point of care pregnancy tests, and performing histological slide preparation and staining for OB/GYN research.

Carrie then joined Ortho Clinical Diagnostics in 2002 as an Assay Development Technologist, where they evaluated assay reagents, formulated test designs, and managed the patient sample inventory database. In 2008, they joined Advanced Liquid Logic as a Senior Scientist, playing a significant role in developing biochemical assays for rare metabolic disorders and adapting protocols to digital microfluidics. This successful startup was eventually sold for millions of dollars.

Currently, Carrie is working at Baebies since 2014, starting as a Senior Scientist and later transitioning into the role of Staff Scientist. Their responsibilities include designing and validating tests for rare metabolic disorders in newborns, authoring scientific posters, collaborating with cross-functional teams for FDA 510K submissions, and representing the company at scientific conferences.

Carrie Graham attended Cornell University from 1993 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Animal Sciences. Following this, they pursued an internship at the Rochester General Hospital School of Medical Technology from 1997 to 1998, as part of their degree program at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology from 1996 to 1998. Additionally, in May 1998, Carrie obtained ASCP Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
