Ali Abdulla

Chief Information Security Officer at Bahrain Development Bank

Ali Abdulla has over 18 years of work experience in various roles related to information security and IT management. Ali is currently working as the Chief Information Security Officer at Bahrain Development Bank since February 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Cyber Resiliency Manager at National Bank of Fujairah from September 2019 to February 2022.

Ali has also held multiple positions at Gulf International Bank, including Head of Security Engineering - Information Security from January 2016 to September 2019, Information Security - Manager from January 2014 to September 2019, and Information Security – Assistant Manager from April 2012 to April 2014. Ali started their career at the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority - Bahrain, where they worked as an IT Manager from June 2009 to April 2011, and as an IT Administrator from March 2008 to June 2009. In these roles, they were responsible for overseeing the IT department, providing guidance and mentorship to junior employees, implementing IT system security, and maintaining IT infrastructure.

Prior to that, Ali worked as an Information Security Consultant at BIT from December 2007 to March 2008 and as an Information Security Officer at Pension Fund Commission from May 2005 to March 2007. In these positions, they were involved in implementing information security management systems, aligning IT policies and procedures with best practices, and managing IT processes.

Ali also gained experience as an IT Support Analyst at Bahrain National Gas Company from May 2005 to May 2006, and as an OSS-BSS Engineer at Future Communications Company International (FCCI) from September 2004 to May 2005.
