Jameel al Alawi

Jameel Al Alawi is a Senior Legal Advisor at the Economic Development Board, a position held since 2007. Prior to this, Jameel served as the Director of Treaties and Agreements at the Directorate of Legal Affairs, now known as the Legislation and Legal Opinions Commission, from February 2001 to January 2007. Jameel Al Alawi holds a Dip ICArb in Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (2010) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of London (1996). Additionally, Jameel earned a PhD in Civil Engineering and an MSc in Transportation from the University of Bradford (1981 and 1977, respectively) and a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Basrah (1976).
