Alec Charais

Alec Charais has a diverse work experience in the horticulture industry. Alec started their career at Linder's Garden Center as a Department Supervisor from 1993 to 1996. Alec then joined Linder's Flower Marts, where they served as Division Manager from 1996 to 2000. In this role, they successfully expanded the company by opening additional satellite locations and overseeing a team of 200 employees. Alec then worked as a Garden Center Manager at Gerten's Greenhouses & Garden Center in 2000, where they managed a team of 20 employees and implemented effective merchandising strategies. Currently, Alec is the Chief Marketing & Product Development Officer at Bailey Nurseries, a position they have held since January 2021. Prior to this role, they were the Marketing & Communications Manager at Bailey Nurseries for eight years. In addition, they also have experience as a Retail Specialist/Territory Sales Representative at Bailey Nurseries from 2001 to 2013, where they successfully strategized and executed sales plans and built strong customer relationships.

Alec Charais has pursued education in Environmental Horticulture at the University of Minnesota. During their time at the university, they focused on subjects related to Business Management & Communications as well as Accounting. Alec's educational background also includes obtaining a certification in MNLA (Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association) Certified Nursery Professional.
