Maksym Gatsuts

Maksym Gatsuts has held various leadership roles throughout their career. Maksym is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Bairro since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the VP Retail Practice at Masterdata from June 2021 to November 2021. Maksym has also worked as the Managing Director at Alshaya Group in 2020. From 2016 to 2019, they served as the CEO of "Karusel" Hypermarkets at X5 Retail Group. Maksym was the Operations Director and Board Member at Metro Cash & Carry Russia from 2012 to 2016. Before that, they worked as the Marketing Director and Board Member at Makro Cash & Carry Portugal S.A. from 2010 to 2012. Maksym has significant experience in the retail industry and has also held various positions at Metro Cash and Carry Ukraine from 2007 to 2010. Maksym started their career as an Account Manager at Lucent Technologies in 2000 and later worked as the Country Representative at Hugo International Ltd from 1996 to 1999.

Maksym Gatsuts completed an MBA (Full time) at INSEAD in 2001. Maksym also obtained a Diploma MS in Aircraft Engineering, Major in Aerodynamics from the Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) between 1990 and 1996. In 2020, they attended the iWengo School of Electronic Commerce to study E-Commerce/Electronic Commerce.
