Varghese Chacko

Varghese Chacko has over 25 years of experience in the insurance and financial industry. Varghese is currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Head of the Corporate Division and Strategic Alliances at Bajaj Allianz Life since September 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President of Bancassurance and Alliances at MAX BUPA HEALTH INSURANCE from June 2016 to January 2022.

Before that, Chacko worked at Birla Sun Life Insurance where they held various roles. Varghese was the Head of Strategy and Key Account Management for the Bancassurance, Corporate Agents, and Brokers divisions from June 2015 to June 2016. Varghese was responsible for strategizing and managing key accounts through a team of National Key Account Managers across the country. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Business Development for Bancassurance, where they established relationships with commercial banks and led a team of Business Development Zone Heads.

Chacko also has experience at Birla Sun Life Insurance Company Limited, where they served as the Relationship Head of Bancassurance. Varghese was responsible for heading the Citibank relationship nationally and had P&L responsibility. Varghese worked in this role from 2010 to 2014.

Before joining Birla Sun Life Insurance, Chacko worked at Alliance Capital as a Regional Sales Manager from 2000 to 2003. Varghese also worked at DSP Merrill Lynch Ltd. as a Branch Head from 1997 to 2000.

Throughout their career, Varghese Chacko has demonstrated expertise in corporate division and strategic alliances, bancassurance, key account management, business development, and relationship management.

Varghese Chacko holds an MBA degree in Finance from an unspecified institution.
