Kayla Shumate has extensive work experience in various HR roles. Kayla is currently the Human Resources Director at Baker Electric Home Energy. Prior to that, they worked as a Regional Talent Acquisition Manager at Apex Service Partners. Kayla also held positions at Baker Electric, starting as a Sr. Talent Acquisition Manager and later becoming the Director of Talent & Engagement. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Talent Programs Recruiter at Sunrun, a Division Director at Robert Half, and an Assistant Branch Manager at The Eastridge Group. Kayla also has experience as a Human Resources Generalist at Target, a Production Technician at KSBY, and a Spa Coordinator at Bladerunner Day Spa and Salon.

Kayla Shumate - SHRM SCP obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism with a Business Minor from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Kayla completed their undergraduate education from 2006 to 2010.
