Chris Johnston

Chris Johnston has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies in the technology sector. Chris is currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Bakkt since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Development Manager at Apex Fintech Solutions UK from November 2022 to March 2023. Chris also served as a Technical Development Manager at clearpool.io from January 2020 to November 2022 and at TP ICAP from January 2017 to January 2020. Before that, they held various roles at Citi, including EMEA Head of Market Access Technology from September 2015 to January 2017 and Senior Programmer Analyst from April 2013 to September 2015. Chris began their career as a Software Engineer at Fidessa from January 2010 to April 2013 and at Asidua from July 2005 to December 2009. Chris also worked as a Software Developer at Bank of Ireland Asset Management from July 2003 to September 2004.

Chris Johnston attended Queen's University Belfast from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science.
